Rest and rise: Helping parents thrive at home and work

11:00 - 12:00 | Thursday 12th June 2025

An empowering taster session to kick start your family’s journey towards better sleep.

Nicky Barber is the founder of Dream Catcher Sleep Practitioner, she has enjoyed a long career as a child carer working closely with children and family as a nanny, in nursery and school settings as well as a forest school leader at a local woodland setting.

Nicky’s passion for helping families gain full and healthy night’s sleep was sparked by her eldest son whose sleeplessness gave Nicky the lived experience of sleep deprivation whilst trying to function. Which inspired Nicky to put her degree in Childhood Studies, years of experience working with children and creativity towards helping other families flourish and be their best selves as a result of sleep empowerment.

During this workshop Nicky aims to empower you with some knowledge and tools to support your child to gain quality night’s sleep.

This free taster session will include a presentation where Nicky will be outlining some key elements of basic sleep science, including information on the importance of sleep for wellbeing, circadian rhythm, ideal sleep environment as well as trouble shooting for frequent night wakings and early rising.

There will be time for questions and informal discussion at the end of the session. Pop along and find out how Nickys sleep service can help your family’s journey to better sleep.
